Oftentimes we hear Ayurveda described as the sister science of yoga, when in fact the roots of yoga come from one of the six limbs within ancient texts of ayurveda. This limb, Dinacharya, meaning daily practice incorporates yoga. Therefore the roots of yoga actually come from within the system of Ayurveda. Christina Covington, from Embodyed Ayurveda, says Ayurveda is the "Mother of Yoga" and shares ‘Blissapine’ (the daily act of divine bliss) to bring alignment and harmony to our own unique constitutions, as a foundational seat for any yoga practice. In this special 3 hour immersion for a small group of women, we will demystify the system of ayurveda and bring sacred knowledge into daily routines and rituals that bring harmony to our own unique constitutions, diving deeply into the practice of ABHYANGA (ayurvedic self-massage) a technique using warm oils, that literally means MOVE TOWARDS LOVE.
This event is only offered seasonally: VATA season (Autumn)
